University of Washington Campus / Center Table

In 2018 Chadhaus had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented folks at Graham Baba Architects on a collection of pieces for Willow Hall, a new residence and dining facility on University of Washington’s North Campus.

Graham Baba specified Chadhaus furniture for several components in the project, including a variation of our Farmhouse Modern Island for the central dining area and Pagliacci Pizza within the space. For the building’s entry and lounge area, we fabricated a simple piece we dubbed the Plane Bench – made from solid wood with a concealed steel support that allowed the piece to be slim and light in feel.

Chad and Emily enjoyed working on this project, being as they met while studying in the UW Architecture department in 2003. Customizing our designs to meet the aesthetic and functional needs of this new space on the UW campus was a great project for Chadhaus, and we’re honored to think of our furniture enhancing student life for that community.

Our thanks to photographer Anna Redmond, who photographed our pieces in the space. We’ve also included a photo of the Plane Bench taken in our shop by Emily.
